Gavin Newsom is getting more desperate by the day to make some sort of impact that the history books will remember. His latest attempt to take down one of his conservative counterparts, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, has backfired spectacularly.
Gavin Newsom, governor of California, made a bold prediction about the potential Republican presidential nominee in 2024.
Trending Politics reports, Newsom stated in a recent interview that he believes former President Donald Trump will emphatically defeat Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
Newsom’s statement was not wrong, however, his obsession with attacking DeSantis shined bright here.
Newsom’s obsession with DeSantis also shined bright last July, when he paid for an ad in the Sunshine State enticing Floridians to move to California.
Governor Newsom’s recent attack on Governor DeSantis appears to be nothing more than empty rhetoric. In fact, Newsom would do well to take a page out of DeSantis’s book when it comes to leadership during a crisis. Under DeSantis’s guidance, Florida has managed to navigate this difficult time with grace and resilience. It’s no wonder that many Americans are looking to Florida as a beacon of hope for the rest of the country. Meanwhile, Newsom continues to flounder and falter in the face of criticism, proving that he’s simply not cut out for the job of governing. While we do agree that it would be wise for Governor DeSantis to wait to run for President in 2024 and instead support Trump’s campaign, we can’t ignore all that he’s done for Florida and report on the personal attacks against him from jealous Democrats like California’s Newsom.
