Chinese Scientists Planning to Take Over Space Exploration in 5 Years

As if China’s global ambitions weren’t concerning enough, the latest report reveals that the country is working on something substantial involving space exploration. This is just five years away. But what are China’s true intentions with this space exploration, and how will it affect its relationships with other nations?

In an era where space exploration and colonization sound increasingly plausible, China’s latest announcement is bound to raise eyebrows. According to a recent report by the South China Morning Post, China is planning to build a lunar base using moon soil bricks, with construction starting as soon as five years from now. While China claims to be pursuing space exploration and expanding its global presence, it’s hard not to ignore this rapid development.

China’s lunar ambitions have long been touted in the media, but the recent announcement is particularly significant. The country has already launched a series of missions, including the Chang’e 6, 7, and 8, to construct a lander, hopper, orbiter, and rover.

Now, it seems they’re taking things to the next level, planning a permanent lunar base with bricks made from moon soil. The moon is also believed to be rich in nuclear energy, making it a valuable resource for future energy needs.

At a recent conference held at Huazhong University of Science and Technology in Wuhan, China, over 100 researchers from domestic universities, research institutes, and space contractors gathered to discuss extraterrestrial construction, including plans for building basic infrastructure, using robots, and simulating the lunar environment on Earth.

A specialist in intelligent construction and chief scientist of the National Centre of Technology Innovation for Digital Construction at the university, noted, “building habitation beyond the earth is essential not only for all humanity’s quest for space exploration, but also for China’s strategic needs as a space power.”

According to local media, the first brick would be made from moon soil during the Chang’e 8 mission in 2028, according to a top scientist at Huazhong University of Science and Technology.

According to the Journal of Deep Space Exploration, Harbin Institute of Technology researchers published detailed designs of two moon bases in February, dubbed Clover and Red Star.

Both Clover and Red Star have four cabins that can accommodate three or four astronauts for a short period of time, and both are designed for the surface of the moon or lunar craters.

According to scientists, the moon is believed to contain a waste-free source of nuclear energy that could supply global energy needs for 250 years.

But while China claims to be pursuing space exploration and expanding its global presence, it’s hard not to feel skeptical about its actual intentions.

Some experts have warned that nations may clash over the extraction of potentially valuable resources, causing global tensions to heighten. Furthermore, as China gains more influence on the world stage, it’s clear that the country is using space exploration as a way to flex its geopolitical muscles.

The Trump administration was the last one to take this space race between China and us seriously. WATCH>>>

There you have it, in these last two years with Biden meaning Obama since we all know who is calling the shots, we can assume that the space race has been halted, and that China has gotten quite the head start.

Let’s continue this conversation, in the comments below.
