The Biden administration seems to be doing little to curb the influx of illegal immigrants. In fiscal year 2022, the U.S. saw 2,378,944 encounters at the border, excluding the nearly 600,000 known “gotaways” who escaped custody altogether under the Biden administration’s watch.

Meanwhile, the President himself and his handlers have refused to call the situation a crisis, instead referring to it as a “challenge.” Biden has also reversed many of the previous administration’s policies that helped to discourage illegal immigration and has reduced the resources assigned to border enforcement, leaving those tasked with protecting the border increasingly overworked and underfunded.

It is indefensible that the current administration refuses to acknowledge the blatant reality of this issue and its severity. The fact of the matter is that by ignoring the border crisis and turning a blind eye to the consequences, the Biden administration is demonstrating an utter lack of concern for American citizens’ well-being, which shows they are not fit to be leaders.
