Bud Light’s Downfall Continues: Sales Cratering Over Mulvaney Partnership!

Bud Light sales have plummeted across bars and restaurants throughout the country after the brand proudly announced their support for trans activist Dylan Mulvaney through a partnership. As patriotic Americans continue to distance themselves from businesses that choose politics over principle, it’s clear that it will take Bud Light a long, long time if it ever want to recover from this – both morally and monetarily.

Bud Light is in some serious trouble after partnering with controversial influencer, Dylan Mulvaney. BeerBoard, a technology company that provides data to the beverage industry, is reporting a significant decline in the sales of Bud Light at restaurants and bars all around America following calls for boycotts against the brand. The backlash against Bud Light has been quick and severe, with high-profile conservatives signaling they are done with the brand. Let’s dive in to see what happened.

Approximately 3,000 restaurants and bars across America that use BeerBoard’s innovative technology logged a 6% decline in Bud Light sales from April 2 to April 15, following calls for boycotts against the company. The partnership between Bud Light and Mulvaney started on April 1 and instantly backfired as many high-profile conservatives signaled they were done with the brand.

After the announcement, Bud Light sales plummeted 11% in the first week and the following week the sales cratered, dropping 21% in volume.

Daniel Blake, who was overseeing marketing for Anheuser-Busch’s mainstream brands, has been placed on leave over the incident. Blake has been responsible for defining the public image of the Bud Light brand, and the damage caused by this partnership has seemed to have already cost him his job.

Alissa Heinerscheid, Bud Light’s vice president of marketing, was also placed on leave late last week. This was due to the controversy erupting with Mulvaney and the video that surfaced of remarks Heinerscheid made during a recent podcast, in which she said she wanted to change Bud Light’s image.

This video has made matters worse for Bud Light, and it remains to be seen what the future holds for the brand.

This is a significant blow for Bud Light as its sales have struggled to recover since the partnership with Mulvaney was announced. This decline has exposed the company to be out of touch with its conservative customer base, and it also raises questions about the company’s future direction. This backlash may ultimately end up being extremely costly for Anheuser-Busch, as it tries to win back customers.

Let’s continue this conversation, in the comments below.
