Rep. Chip Roy came forward on Newsmax to discuss the escalating crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border. He painted a grim picture, calling the situation “absolute devastation.” According to Roy, the number of immigrants expected to cross the border in the coming weeks is “uncapped.”
Roy pointed a damning finger at the Biden administration, alleging they’re working in conjunction with NGOs and the Mexican government to facilitate the illegal crossing of immigrants. He accused the Biden administration of being complicit in the human smuggling chain, citing communication with border patrol agents who described the current predicament as a “broken arrow” scenario.
Roy’s accusations were fueled further when a video of Mayorkas, the Secretary of Homeland Security, surfaced. Mayorkas defended the influx of immigrants, claiming that businesses across America need illegal migrant labor. This statement was met with a fierce backlash from Roy, who didn’t mince words in his criticism of Mayorkas.
The situation at the border is set to worsen, with border officials predicting a surge in illegal crossings to between 11,000 to 16,000 daily. The alarming aspect of this increase is the strain it places on border patrol agents, who are being pulled from their security duties to process migrants.
Brandon Judd, a border patrol agent and the president of the National Border Patrol Council, weighed in on the issue. According to him, when the total hits 16,000 daily, only 10% of available border agents will be on patrol. This leaves the drug cartels free to operate, a sobering reality for our national security.
Sen. J.D. Vance, meanwhile, has described this wave of illegal immigration as “economic warfare” against working and middle-class Americans. He highlights the detrimental impact on wages and the surge in housing prices. He emphasizes that the influx of illegal immigrants means more competition for jobs and housing, leading to a decrease in wages and an increase in housing costs.
Despite these alarming revelations, the media and the Biden administration continue to push the narrative that there’s been no significant increase in illegal crossings. However, the truth slips out, as evidenced by a CNN interview with an illegal migrant who credited the expiration of Title 42 as his reason for crossing.
Yet, this admission was quickly glossed over and the segment moved on, leaving the reality of the situation underreported.
The border crisis is not a political game; it’s a reality that’s rapidly deteriorating. The Biden administration’s misguided policies are not only jeopardizing our national security but also directly impacting the livelihood of working and middle-class Americans. It’s time for us to face the truth and address this crisis head-on. Our nation deserves better. We must demand accountability, transparency, and immediate action.
