Anna Paulina Luna, who has filed a privileged resolution against Schiff, along with a hefty fine of $16 million attached. Luna has accused Schiff of repeatedly lying to the American people about alleged collusion between former President Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign and Russia, which ended up costing taxpayers millions of dollars. The resolution comes just days after Luna introduced a measure to expel Schiff from the House of Representatives. With the impending vote, it looks like Schiff’s days may be numbered.

Res. 437, aims to censure, condemn, and fine Schiff for his egregious abuse of trust. This move comes after Luna introduced a measure last week to expel Schiff from the House of Representatives following special counsel John Durham’s report that revealed Schiff repeatedly lied about “collusion” between former President Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign and Russia.
For years, Schiff has been lying to the country, claiming he had “evidence” of collusion between Trump’s campaign and Russia. He launched needless investigations into these allegations and cost American taxpayers millions of dollars. Schiff even used his position on the House Intelligence Committee to push this lie, abusing the trust placed in him as Chairman of the committee.
Luna and her colleagues in the GOP are taking this issue seriously, and they are planning to hold Schiff accountable. Durham’s report makes it clear that the Russian Collusion narrative was a lie from day one, and Schiff knowingly used his position in an attempt to divide our country. Schiff’s behavior is dishonorable to the House of Representatives, and he must be held accountable for his actions.
Schiff’s lies were a part of a much bigger problem. Durham’s 300-plus page report cited the FBI and the Justice Department for launching a bogus investigation into the 2016 campaign of then-GOP nominee Donald Trump without justification. It was revealed that the campaign of Hillary Clinton was heavily involved in creating the false narrative that Trump’s campaign was “colluding” with Russia to interfere in the election. Schiff frequently touted the collusion claim during congressional proceedings and on various cable news outlets throughout Trump’s presidency, but Durham’s findings completely refuted it.
The fact that Schiff can lie to the American people with impunity shows that we need serious reform in Congress. The resolution filed against Schiff by Luna is an excellent step towards accountability for these politicians who have abused their positions of power. Schiff must face a hefty fine for his egregious abuse of trust, and Luna and the GOP are committed to holding him responsible. By taking this action, Luna is sending a message that politicians who deceive the American people will face the consequences of their actions.
It’s time for Adam Schiff to face the consequences of his lies and abuse of power. The fact that he knowingly pushed a false narrative for years, costing taxpayers millions of dollars and dividing the country, is unacceptable. Luna’s privileged resolution to censure, condemn, and fine Schiff is a necessary step in holding him accountable. His actions have undermined the integrity of the House of Representatives and have further eroded trust in our political institutions. It’s time for true justice to be served and for Schiff to face the consequences of his disgraceful behavior. The American people deserve better than this.
