Texas scores BIG win against Walgreens, gets $340 million for opioid settlement!

In a groundbreaking development, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has secured a colossal $5.7 billion settlement with Walgreens, one of the largest pharmacy chains in the country, for its role in the catastrophic nationwide opioid epidemic. Out of the total sum, $340 million has been designated specifically for the state of Texas. This significant settlement has added to the funds already obtained through attorneys general investigations and litigation against the pharmaceutical industry, bringing the total amount obtained to over $50 billion.

Notably, Texas alone has secured an enormous $2.91 billion to combat the dire impacts of the opioid crisis within the state. Attorney General Paxton rightly deserves due credit for his dedication to ensuring that pharmaceutical companies are held accountable for the damage caused by this epidemic. Furthermore, Walgreens will help avoid a repeat of this devastating event in the future and offer treatment to those who are still struggling.

The cumulative settlement funds from attorneys general investigations and litigation against the pharmaceutical industry are expected to fund critical initiatives nationwide, including addiction treatment programs, public awareness campaigns, and efforts to prevent further opioid-related harm.

The state of Texas has been at the forefront of the battle against the opioid crisis, and the $2.91 billion allocated to it will contribute significantly to the ongoing efforts to combat addiction and assist affected communities. Attorney General Paxton has expressed his commitment to ensuring that the funds are used effectively and efficiently to make a meaningful impact on the lives of Texans grappling with the traumatic effects of opioid abuse.

Meanwhile, weak and spineless Republicans In Name Only (RINOs) are attempting to impeach Attorney General Paxton for “bribery, unfitness for office, and abuse of public trust” following an investigation into his alleged “corruption.” However, these claims have been thoroughly investigated and debunked time and again. Texans knew about all of these allegations in the last election and showed their rejection by a margin of ten percentage points.

While serving as Attorney General in Texas, Paxton defended 12 lawsuits related to election laws and launched an investigation against Pfizer, Moderna, and J&J for lying to the public about the safety and efficacy of their vaccines.

President Trump unequivocally supports Paxton, saying, “Hopefully, Republicans in the Texas House will agree that this is a very unfair process that should not be allowed to happen or proceed. I will fight you if it does. It is the Radical Left Democrats, RINOs, and Criminals that never stop. ELECTION INTERFERENCE! Free Ken Paxton, let them wait for the next election!”

Other political heavyweights have expressed solidarity with Paxton, recognizing him as a champion of conservative values. AG Ken Paxton is an America First warrior who has worked assiduously to protect his state’s border and fight against the cartels and the Joe Biden regime. Hence, the America First movement stands with him against this unconstitutional, uniparty impeachment attempt. Should Republican members of the Texas House go against Ken Paxton, the America First movement will come for them, primary them out to pasture, and let them hit the road.
