Shocking Chicago Crime: ‘Peacekeeper’ Exposed as Brutal Attacker in Jaw-Dropping Motorist Robbery – Watch the Full Story!

**Chicago’s Peacekeeper Initiative Sees Brutal Beating and Arrest**

A shocking incident occurred in Chicago as a man dressed in a neon “Peacekeeper” vest was arrested for viciously assaulting and robbing a motorist. The attacker, identified as Oscar Montes, was a recent parolee, just having served time for a gang-related shooting.

Gov. J.B. Pritzker recently announced a policy aimed at reducing violence in the city. Chicago was to be patrolled by yellow vest-wearing “Peacekeepers” during Memorial Day weekend. However, the plan seems to have backfired with this brutal attack.

Oscar Montes, 31, and several others pulled a man from his car and violently attacked him on South Washtenaw Avenue, according to Cook County prosecutors. Montes stole the victim’s cellphone and used it to hit him over the head. The man suffered several injuries, including fractured ribs, a broken face, and partial blindness.

Thankfully, officers saw the attack happening on video from a police surveillance camera nearby. They dispatched fellow officers to the scene while Montes and his accomplices fled. Montes was later caught trying to remove his neon “Peacekeeper” vest.

Montes’ criminal background includes a 2012 guilty plea to aggravated discharge of a firearm into an occupied vehicle. He served more than ten years of a twelve-year sentence before being released in May 2022. His parole status is now under review due to the new allegations.

The Memorial Day weekend has already seen 37 people shot in Chicago, with nine of them being fatal. This brutal attack and Montes’ background call into question the effectiveness and possible consequences of the Peacekeeper initiative.

**When Will Chicago’s Violence Cease?**

The brutal beating and subsequent arrest of a so-called “Peacekeeper” reflect the city’s ongoing problem with violence. With a worrying number of people shot already during the holiday weekend, one might question the effectiveness of Gov. Pritzker’s yellow-vest initiative.
