Newsom Attempts a Shocking Takedown of DeSantis After Mass Shooting – But Wait Until You See What Stops Him!

**California Governor Gavin Newsom thought he could blame Florida’s Ron DeSantis for a recent shooting in Hollywood. Little did he know that his attempt to do so would fail spectacularly.**

In a misguided effort to point fingers, California Governor Gavin Newsom attempted to blame Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for the mass shooting that occurred on the Hollywood Oceanfront Boardwalk in south Florida over Memorial Day weekend. However, Newsom’s hollow accusation was quickly dismantled when the truth came to light.

The shooting, which injured nine people, is believed to have resulted from a dispute between two “groups.” Police are still investigating whether it was gang-related. Rather than offering solutions or expressing concern for the victims, Newsom chose to politicize the tragedy on Twitter, accusing DeSantis of enabling the bloodshed with lenient gun policies and bowing down to the NRA.

Newsom claimed that DeSantis signed a “permit-less carry bill” in April that removed requirements for background checks, instruction, and training oversight, implying that these looser regulations were responsible for the shooting. However, this accusation is blatantly false.

The truth is that DeSantis did sign a bill legalizing permit-less concealed carry in Florida – but it does not take effect until July 1, 2023. So, not only has the law not been implemented yet, but Newsom’s accusation is also baseless as DeSantis himself had nothing to do with the shooting.

Moreover, Newsom’s claims about the details of the legislation are misguided. While it is true that the law does not require state-sanctioned instruction or training, it does not eliminate background checks for gun purchasers, as federal law mandates that federally licensed firearms dealers must submit background checks on those purchasing guns.

Furthermore, even if the law had already taken effect, it would not have applied to two of the suspected shooters apprehended by police, as they are not at least 21 years old – a requirement of the permit-less concealed carry law.

In his ill-advised attempt to pin the blame on DeSantis, Newsom failed to suggest what “common sense gun safety” law could have actually prevented the shooting. Instead, his faulty accusations served only to undermine his credibility and demonstrate a complete lack of understanding of the situation.

**Newsom’s baseless accusation against Florida Governor Ron DeSantis was nothing more than desperate finger-pointing and an embarrassing display of political mudslinging. As the facts come to light, it is clear his claims hold no weight and only serve to discredit him further.**
