**Several teens arrested for mob beating of off-duty U.S. Marines**
A group of teenagers has been arrested for attacking and severely beating three off-duty U.S. Marines in California. Five juveniles face felony charges, while four others may be charged with misdemeanors following this horrific incident.
The incident began when the Marines noticed a mob of around 40 people causing a disturbance at San Clement Pier Bowl area. Upon confrontation, the Marines were met with resistance and physical assault. The attackers were unrelenting, delivering brutal kicks and punches to their victims, who curled up in the fetal position on the ground.
Thankfully, two adults intervened, and the Marines were spared further injury. The Orange County Sheriff’s Department has stated their commitment to prosecuting all the individuals involved “to the fullest extent of the law.”
The suspects, all local residents, were identified using various videos gathered from the incident. San Clemente Mayor Chris Duncan acknowledged the use of video footage in tracking down the suspects and emphasized that this should serve as a warning and learning lesson for young people.
**The swift arrest of these juveniles demonstrates the determination of authorities to bring justice to those who brutally attack those who serve our country. The use of video evidence to track down the suspects sends a clear message to others that such violent behavior will not go unpunished.**
