**Pentagon Halts Drag Show on Air Force Base: A Victory for Common Sense and Taxpayer Dollars**

The cancellation order came from Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley, after the issue was brought to their attention by Rep. Matt Gaetz. Gaetz confronted Milley with documents and news articles that exposed “Drag Queen Story Hours” taking place on various United States military installations, including the planned Nellis Air Force Base event.

Although Gen. Milley initially claimed to be “unaware” of such events, he committed to taking action if the claims were true. Following the cancellation, Gaetz celebrated the victory on his Twitter page, stating, “Drag shows should not be taking place on military installations with taxpayer dollars PERIOD!”
