Once again, the liberal media bias is on full display, slandering Florida Governor Ron DeSantis with unfounded smears reminiscent of their attacks on former President Trump. MSNBC host Andrea Mitchell has shown her blatant agreement with National Urban League president and CEO Marc Morial’s accusations that DeSantis is “literally” a “21st century George Wallace.”
According to Morial, DeSantis is nothing short of a “history suppressor” and “voter suppressor,” all because of his support for school choice – a policy that has improved educational opportunities for black students in Florida. Morial went so far as to compare DeSantis to racist former Alabama Governor George Wallace, claiming DeSantis is “blocking the doors to libraries” and suppressing the legitimate contributions of African Americans. But what evidence does he provide? Absolutely none.
Never one to challenge a guest’s falsehoods, Mitchell not only allows this defamation to go unchallenged but even echoes the sentiment, claiming multiple states are engaging in similar “censorship of education.” She also touts letters from Democratic governors urging textbook publishers not to bow to political pressure. Morial then goes on to suggest that Florida under DeSantis is akin to “North Korea” or “Russia” and asserts that such “censorship” is “anti-American.”
In a predictable turn of events, zero pushback is given to Morial’s slanderous comments, with Mitchell quickly wrapping up the segment. The blatant biased reporting against DeSantis is a sad reminder of the lack of journalistic integrity that plagues the liberal media today. When the facts do not suit their narrative, they resort to shameless smearing and slandering of conservatives.
