**Joe Biden Welcomes Kansas City Chiefs, Relives Football Story as Political Opposition Thinks He’s Running Backwards**
Joe Biden recently hosted the Kansas City Chiefs to commemorate their championship season and Super Bowl LVII victory. In typical Biden fashion, he couldn’t resist talking about himself and sharing a much-repeated tale of his brief football career.
During the celebration, Biden took the opportunity to remind the Chiefs of his own fleeting experience as a gridiron athlete. He recounted his time playing freshman football at Delaware, admitting that his poor GPA of 1.99 forced his mother to make him quit the team. However, Biden claimed he returned to play during his junior and senior years where an assistant coach lauded him, saying he ran faster backwards than anyone he’d ever seen. Biden then quipped that his political opposition must share the same sentiment.
The only problem is this emphatic story never happened, and it seems to be one of Biden’s favorite lies. He similarly declared in October that he gave up a starting spot on the University of Delaware football team due to his low GPA, which resulted in his father’s insistence to quit.
**Joe Biden needs to quit running his football stories backward and focus on leading the nation forward**
As entertaining as his football tales may be, it’s clear that President Biden is relying on falsehoods to connect with the audience. Instead of focusing on fictional stories, Biden should concentrate on steering the nation in a forward direction.
