**Shocking Images of Cessna Crash Scene Released, No Survivors Found**
Authorities have found no survivors from a Cessna Citation aircraft that crashed into a Virginia mountainside. The first images of the tragic scene have been released by an NBC Washington reporter, showing the heartbreaking aftermath.
Brad Freitas, an aerial reporter for NBC Washington, released four images of the crash site near St. Mary’s Wilderness Swimming Hole in Virginia. Local outlet Blue Ridge Magazine reported, “Shortly before 8 p.m. Sunday (June 4, 2023), first responders were able to reach the crash site by foot. State police have suspended their search efforts. No survivors were located.”
The Wintergreen Fire and Rescue Department was one of the first local fire departments to respond to the scene and reported that their efforts to find survivors were unsuccessful. Virginia State Police shared the same unfortunate news in a separate report.
According to State Police, they were contacted at 3:50 p.m. Sunday about a possible plane crash. A search effort involving the Virginia State Police, Augusta County Sheriff’s Office, and local Fire-Rescue crews was promptly launched. Authorities were able to find the crash site shortly before 8 p.m., but their search concluded with no survivors discovered.
At this time, it is believed that there were four people on board. Thoughts and prayers go out to the families who have lost their loved ones in this tragic accident.
