Swanton Sector Chief Patrol Agent Robert Garcia recently revealed a concerning report indicating that the number of migrants encountered by his agents in Fiscal Year 23 has surpassed the combined figures of the previous four years. Breitbart Texas reviewed an unofficial Border Patrol report, confirming over 450 migrant apprehensions in May alone, bringing the total to over 3,800 this year.

Additionally, there are over 1,800 known got-aways, contributing to a staggering tally of more than 5,600 border crossers. This represents a significant increase of nearly 25% compared to the total apprehensions over the past four fiscal years. The Swanton Sector, encompassing parts of northern New York, Vermont, and New Hampshire, has become a hotspot for illegal border crossings.

Chief Garcia’s tweet included a photo exposing the perilous methods employed by human smugglers. In a recent smuggling attempt, two undocumented migrants from Mexico tried to transport ten others into northern New York in an overloaded SUV. The smugglers were convicted in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York and are awaiting deportation.

Surprisingly, the U.S. Attorney’s Office made no mention of the smugglers’ immigration status, only identifying them as “from Illinois.” This omission highlights the media’s failure to address the deeper problems surrounding illegal immigration.
