Dallas Hosts “Family-Friendly” Pride Parade Filled with Inappropriate Content

The City of Dallas recently hosted a “family-friendly” Pride festival, with free admission for children 12 and under. Unfortunately, the event featured numerous inappropriate depictions of sexuality. This raises concerns about exposing children to adult content under the guise of inclusivity.

During the Dallas Pride parade, BlazeTV host Sara Gonzales reported seeing explicit content on clothing, illustrations of gay sexual acts involving Disney characters, and even sex toys on display at vendor booths. It is perplexing that the event organizers would label it as appropriate for “all ages” when the materials exhibited were clearly not. Why should children be subjected to such adult content?

The questionable items were not the only issue at the festival. Men were seen wearing bondage gear, something that should definitely not be exposed to young children. Furthermore, at the “Family Pride Zone,” a so-called “gay magician” performed close-up magic. Why is it necessary to make the performer’s sexuality an integral part of the show?

Additionally, a vendor booth for the controversial group Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence was present at the event. This same group was recently disinvited and then re-invited to the Los Angeles Dodgers’ Pride Night, causing a public outcry. Given the sensitive nature of such controversies, one must question the rationale behind their continued inclusion in events marketed towards families.
