Unbelievable! Canadian Elementary School Throws Epic Pride Day Bash with Colorful Surprises & Fabulous Drag Queen Extravaganza!

Canadian School Celebrates Pride Day with Drag Queens and Rainbow Parades

A recent display of LGBTQ+ pride at a Canadian elementary school has sparked controversy, as teachers dressed in colorful costumes and arranged a drag queen performance for students. This event is just the latest example of the normalization of LGBTQ+ themes in educational settings, prompting critics to question the appropriateness of such content for young children.

The incident occurred at St. Matthew’s School, a K-7 institution located in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador. Footage of the day’s festivities was initially posted on Twitter by Colin Barry, a fifth-grade teacher within the Newfoundland & Labrador English School District. One commenter pointed out that St. Matthew, the school’s namesake, would likely not endorse this type of celebration. Others sarcastically questioned the connection between Pride and basic academic skills, insinuating that it has no place in education.

Some also accused the school of “grooming” children with LGBTQ+ content, while others took the opportunity to advocate for homeschooling.
