Florida First Lady Casey DeSantis Gets Mean Girls Treatment Over Edgy Jacket
Daily Beast executive editor Katie Baker’s latest hit piece tries to paint a negative picture of Florida First Lady Casey DeSantis for wearing a provocative jacket. But it’s a reminder that some in the liberal media are all too eager to turn any opportunity to attack their conservative foes. With a lack of evidence and a penchant for lies, Baker’s piece exposes the evident bias within certain media outlets.
It all started when Mrs. DeSantis wore a black leather jacket with an alligator and the phrase “Where Woke Goes to Die” at Senator Joni Ernst’s (R-IA) Roast and Ride. Baker saw the jacket as the epitome of vulgarity, but did she seriously expect Casey DeSantis to be a liberal-style First Lady?
In her tirade, Baker claims Governor Ron DeSantis is worse than Trump in targeting minorities (a fallacious liberal perspective) and ties the jacket to the horrific Pulse nightclub mass shooting, Jim Crow-era lynch mobs, and the Rosewood massacre. All without a shred of context or factual basis. Governor DeSantis’s policies around CRT and related topics are misrepresented too, showing a personal vendetta against conservatives.
Baker condemns alleged parallels between the DeSantis couple and the Kennedys, ignoring the latter’s drug addiction and infidelity scandals. The biased portrayal of the First Ladies by comparing Casey to liberal favorites such as Michelle Obama and Dr. Jill Biden demonstrates the evident double standard.

The person that wrote this should look in the mirror. I have seen Katies pictures she's 1 of the 3 girls still at the bar after closing time, and your feeling sorry for her and half loaded so why not. You have your fun behind a dumpster, so she doesn't know where you live.
