In a surprising alliance, reporters from both CBS and the Daily Caller questioned the Biden administration on the alleged bribery scandal involving the then-Vice President Joe Biden. The White House’s evasive responses have only fueled speculation surrounding this brewing controversy.

During Monday’s White House press briefing, representatives from two politically diverse news outlets – Daily Caller and CBS – raised questions about bribery allegations against Joe Biden, dating back to his time as Vice President. With evasive responses from both National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications John Kirby and White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, this incident has highlighted an unusual unity in the pursuit of truth among political adversaries.

Newsmax’s James Rosen initially pushed Kirby on the conflicting narrative regarding the damage caused by recent leaks of highly classified documents within the Biden administration, emphasizing the need for clarity from the administration. Subsequently, Daily Caller’s Diana Glebova confronted Kirby on accusations that the Biden family had received payments of $10 million while Joe Biden served as Vice President, raising potential national security concerns. Kirby’s dismissive two-word response “No and no” failed to adequately address the issue.

Later in the press briefing, Jean-Pierre chose to sidestep questions from CNN and Fox News concerning comments made by Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley. The Press Secretary focused instead on expressing the President’s support for the LGBTQ+ community and touting Biden’s track record.

When CBS’s Ed O’Keefe returned to the bribery allegations, he mentioned the House Oversight Committee’s intent to hold the FBI Director in contempt for withholding related documents. Jean-Pierre, much like Kirby, refused to engage in a meaningful response and deferred to the FBI’s statement on the matter.
