**Democrats Cry Racism as Republicans Fight Wokeness: Rep. Cori Bush Claims Anti-Blackness is Behind GOP’s Stance**
Rep. Cori Bush, a Democratic representative from Missouri, accuses Republicans of racism as they wage their battle against wokeness. Simultaneously, Bush criticizes legislation restricting gender transitions for minors. Is it really racism, or is the GOP standing up for common-sense values?
Bush took to Twitter with her accusations, stating, “As Democrats, we’ve got to push back on the GOP’s ‘war on woke.’ We know it’s rooted in anti-Blackness. We cannot sit idly by as these folks get in front of cameras and yell ‘woke’ at everything. It’s our communities that the GOP is targeting. We have to stand up for us.” Are Democrats attempting to paint conservatives as racists to distract from their own radical agenda?
In Missouri, Governor Mike Parson (R) signed legislation that restricts the provision of gender-transition treatments, including surgeries, cross-sex hormones, and puberty blockers, to minors. Parson cited the need to protect children from making life-altering decisions with lifelong consequences. For Parson, these decisions should be made once an individual has matured physically and emotionally.
The governor also signed into law a measure banning schools and colleges from allowing male students to participate in female-designated sports and vice versa. This legislation aims to ensure fairness and equal opportunity for women and girls in sports, as well as to protect the integrity of the competitions. Critics argue that it is social righteousness
