According to the APA, one-third of teachers confirmed experiencing threats or verbal harassment from students during the pandemic, while 14% reported suffering physical violence. The APA warned of a potential teacher shortage as a result of this growing crisis, highlighting that almost half of all teachers plan to change careers due to a lack of school safety.
