ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith Mocks Democrats’ Claim of Biden Being the ‘Strongest Candidate’ for 2024

ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith has caused uproar among Democrats after slamming President Joe Biden as the party’s “best candidate” for 2024. In an explosive appearance on Fox News’s “Hannity” on Tuesday, Smith came out as a registered independent and revealed that he preferred former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie over Biden or any other Democrat running.

“I’d vote for him [Christie] before I’d vote for any of the Democratic candidates that I’ve seen,” Smith said, before going on to criticize Biden for being “too old” and “incompetent.” “I’m looking at him and I don’t like what I see,” he added. “I’m not impressed with what I see, and I’ve been very concerned with what I’ve seen, and the fact that he’s going to be 82 years of age at election time, if he were to win the election, then he’d be in the White House until he’s 86 years old.”

But Smith didn’t stop there. He continued to slam the Democratic Party, calling it “ridiculous and embarrassing” that they couldn’t come up with a better candidate than Biden. “What does it say about you when that is the best candidate that you can give the Left?” he asked. “It is an utter disgrace.”

This isn’t the first time Smith has spoken out against Biden. During a recent episode of “The Stephen A. Smith Show” podcast, Smith stated that the presidency was a job that someone in their 80s should not be doing. “There are responsibilities that are far, far, far more extensive than a typical 9 to 5 that somebody in their 80s may not need to be doing. I think the presidency is one of them,” Smith said.

Furthermore, Smith’s criticism of Biden’s age is not unfounded. If elected for a second term, Biden would be 86 years old by the time he left office. This has raised concerns about his ability to adequately perform the duties required of the presidency, particularly with regards to his physical and mental health.

It’s not just Republicans who are concerned about Biden’s age and ability to govern. The Democratic Party has been struggling to find a clear front-runner for the 2024 presidential race, with many of their potential candidates being criticized for their lack of experience and political baggage. With the threat of rising inflation, the never-ending invasion at our southern border, and other issues facing the country, it’s more important than ever that the American people have a strong, capable leader in the White House.

Stephen A. Smith’s comments on Joe Biden and the Democratic Party are not only justified, but necessary. The American people deserve better than a president who is too old and incompetent to properly perform his duties. It’s time for Democrats to take a long, hard look at their current leadership and find a candidate who is truly fit to lead this great country if they want to win in 2024.
