Meta’s Oversight Board’s announcement to scrutinize three censored abortion-related posts just confirms what we already know: pro-abortion Meta platforms are suppressing discussion on this important topic. Conservatives are constantly under attack by Big Tech, and it’s high time we hold them accountable for their biased actions.

Meta Oversight Board recently called for public comments on three cases of censored posts related to abortion debates in the U.S., a move that seems redundant as it’s clear that Meta platforms have already been biased in stifling such discussions. These actions have been quite evident in the 18 documented cases of censorship in MRC Free Speech America’s CensorTrack database, which includes examples of Facebook flagging pro-life videos and posts as containing “partly false information” or “missing context.”

Cases of censorship include Instagram suspending the account of the Students for Life chapter at Auburn University without providing a valid explanation, Facebook and Instagram flagging posts by prominent conservatives like Nikki Haley and Ben Carson, and Instagram hiding the iconic 1999 image of an in-utero baby holding a surgeon’s finger by deeming it “sensitive content.”

Despite Meta’s Oversight Board attempting to present an investigation into whether their enforcement practices are limiting abortion discussions in the U.S., it’s already quite evident that these platforms have shown where they stand on the issue. To act like it is still an open question is nothing but absurd.
