ESPN personality, Stephen A. Smith, has caused controversy among the Democratic Party for speaking out against President Joe Biden. Smith appeared on Fox News’ “Hannity” and shared that he was a registered independent. He expressed that he would prefer former New Jersey Governor, Chris Christie, over Biden or any other Democratic candidate running. Smith said he was “not impressed” with Biden and thought that the Democratic Party was “ridiculous and embarrassing” for putting forward a candidate that was “too old” and “incompetent”. Smith’s criticism of Biden’s age is not new and concerns have been raised about his ability to perform the duties of the presidency adequately. The American people deserve a strong and capable leader.
