In a shocking twist, Representative Adam Schiff has eluded censure despite his controversial actions during the 2016 presidential election. The resolution was tabled by the Republican-controlled House of Representatives and was backed by Representative Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL). However, twenty Republicans voted with the Democrats to kill the resolution, leaving many conservatives disappointed and questioning their elected representatives’ loyalty. Although Schiff has faced consequences in the past, such as being removed from the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, his victory over the censure vote may further embolden his actions. Nevertheless, Representative Luna has announced her intention to file a privileged motion to censure Schiff and refer him to the House Ethics Committee.
