In a move that has been celebrated by many conservative viewers, veteran television reporter Geraldo Rivera has been ousted from his semi-regular spot on Fox News’ popular drive-time panel show “The Five.” Rivera, who was often the only liberal voice on the show and replaced previous liberal commentator Juan Williams, was known for his frequent clashes with regular hosts Greg Gutfeld and Jesse Watters on a variety of issues.
One of the most egregious examples of Rivera’s liberal bias came when discussing the recent controversy surrounding Border Patrol agents on horseback and Haitian migrants. Despite clear evidence to the contrary, Rivera suggested that the agents had been mistreating the migrants and tried to base his argument on how people felt when looking at photos of the incident.
Thankfully, other hosts on the show, like Dana Perino, were quick to call out Rivera’s blatant disregard for the facts. Perino, who grew up on a ranch and had experience with horses, pointed out that the agents had not been whipping anyone and called Rivera’s comments “so wrong.”
This kind of fake news and liberal propaganda has no place on Fox News, which is why many viewers are relieved to see Rivera go. While it’s important to have a diversity of voices and opinions on any news show, it’s equally important that those voices are grounded in reality and facts. Rivera’s ouster is a positive step for Fox News’ sake, as the network tries to recover from loss in viewership after firing Tucker Carlson.

"Perino was quick to call out Riveras blatant disregard of the facts " LOL ! Because she grew up on a ranch LOL So did one heck of alot of Americans with a different opinion of what was going on at the border ! Facts is not something that anyone on The Five adhere to.
And exactly how much experience do you have with horses and the riding, training thereof? I have over 50 years and no --- those agents were NOT using those reins for any other purpose other than directing their mounts. The border? Facts? Blatant disregard by Democrats for existing immigration law - period!!!!! And now those immigrant - illegal or not - are subject to squalor created by Democrats in the federal government and major cities who declared themselves "sanctuary cities" and now when immigrants show up at their doorstep, sing a very different tune --- corruption is the hallmark of Democrat policies.
