Tim Allen’s Buzz Lightyear Returns to Save the Day: ‘Toy Story 5′ Announced after Woke ‘Lightyear’ Disaster

In a refreshing turn of events, Disney has announced that Tim Allen will be returning to his iconic role as Buzz Lightyear in the upcoming Toy Story 5 movie. This news comes as a relief to fans who were disappointed with the lackluster Lightyear film, where the titular character was voiced by Chris Evans instead of Allen. It’s no secret that Allen’s conservative values have made him a target in the overwhelmingly left-leaning Hollywood community, and many speculated that this was the reason for his absence in the previous film.

But now, Allen is back and ready to reprise his role as the beloved space ranger. In a statement on Twitter, he wrote, “See ya soon Woody, you are a sad strange little man and you have my pity. And off we go to a number 5! To infinity and beyond!” It’s safe to say that fans are thrilled to have him back.

It’s worth noting that the new Toy Story sequel will be developed alongside sequels to Frozen and Zootopia. This shows that Disney is committed to creating quality content that resonates with audiences of all ages. However, it’s unfortunate that the company had to lay off 7,000 employees after a disappointing last quarter of Fiscal Year 2022. Perhaps if they focused more on creating movies that people actually want to see, they wouldn’t have to resort to such drastic measures.

Speaking of disappointing movies, the Lightyear film was a major flop at the box office. The controversial lesbian kiss scene that was initially cut and then reinserted in the film certainly didn’t help matters. It’s concerning that Disney would allow their political agenda to overshadow the quality of their content. In fact, during a company meeting in March of 2022, Disney’s corporate president Karey Burke expressed her desire to include “many, many, many LGBTQIA characters in our stories” and wanted at least 50 percent of the characters to be LGBTQ+. This seems like an excessive amount of pandering to a particular group, especially when it has a negative impact on the overall quality of their films.

Luckily, Tim Allen is a breath of fresh air in the world of Hollywood. He got his start as a stand-up comedian in the 1980s and rose to fame in the 1990s for playing Tim “the Toolman” Taylor on the hit sitcom Home Improvement. His conservative values may make him unpopular with some, but there’s no denying that he’s a talented actor and comedian. We’re excited to see him back in action as Buzz Lightyear and can’t wait to see what he’ll bring to the upcoming Toy Story 5 film.
