In a recent tweet, actor Mark Ruffalo is once again parroting the leftist talking points by calling the Supreme Court an “illegitimate” right-wing institution. His hysterical and baseless accusations are a clear indication of how the Hollywood elite has lost touch with reality.
Ruffalo’s recent tweet cited an article from HuffPost that expressed outrage over the Supreme Court’s rulings overturning affirmative action in college admissions and striking down President Joe Biden’s student loan forgiveness plan. The article argues that these rulings constitute a “new era for the court’s conservatism,” ignoring the fact that the Supreme Court is merely interpreting the law as it is written, rather than implementing ideological political decisions.
The Supreme Court’s decision to overturn affirmative action is a step in the right direction, as it ensures that college admissions are based on merit rather than skin color. Affirmative action policies have been used to discriminate against qualified applicants merely because of their race, which is unjust and unconstitutional.
Furthermore, the Supreme Court rightly struck down President Biden’s unconstitutional student loan forgiveness plan. The plan, which promised to write off $430 billion in student debt, was nothing more than a political gimmick aimed at gaining votes in the mid-term elections. It was an absurd proposal that would have rewarded irresponsible borrowers by forgiving their debts, while punishing responsible taxpayers who have paid off their student loans.
Ruffalo’s call to “organize the vote” is a thinly veiled attempt to encourage voter fraud and manipulate election results. The Supreme Court’s decisions are based on the law and the Constitution, rather than political pressure from Hollywood elites. The only way to ensure fair and just elections is to strengthen the integrity of our voting system and make sure that every vote is counted accurately.
It is time for Hollywood and other leftist elites to stop their tantrums and accept that the Supreme Court is not a tool for advancing their political agenda. The Court’s decisions are based on the law, not politics, and are aimed at protecting the Constitution and upholding justice. We should respect the Court’s authority and work to maintain the rule of law rather than undermining it with extremist rhetoric and tactics.
