President Joe Biden’s incompetence on the international stage was on full display during his recent trip to Europe, as he stumbled through a press briefing in Helsinki and struggled to climb the stairs to Air Force One.
During a joint appearance with Finnish President Sauli Niinistö, Biden made a disastrous mistake, claiming Ireland was his home, only to correct himself and say he was actually thinking of Iceland. This Freudian slip is a worrying sign of just how out of touch our president is with world affairs.
Niinistö looked on in disbelief as Biden struggled to get through his prepared remarks, stumbling over his words and appearing to have trouble keeping his thoughts straight. It’s clear that the leader of the free world is simply not up to the task.
To make matters worse, Biden then took questions from only two pre-selected reporters, ignoring any additional concerns. This lack of transparency and accountability is unacceptable in a democracy such as ours.
But the real embarrassment came later, as Biden attempted to climb the stairs to Air Force One. Despite using the shorter staircase, the president appeared to stumble and nearly fall, before finally making it onto the plane. This is not the kind of strength and stability we need from our commander-in-chief.
It’s clear that Biden’s trip to Europe was a disaster from start to finish, with the president embarrassing himself and our country on the world stage. It’s time for him to step down and make way for someone more capable, before further damage is done to America’s reputation.
