CNN’s ‘The Source’: When Ratings Tell a Tale

CNN’s new show ‘The Source With Kaitlan Collins’ seems to be struggling to find its audience. Nielsen ratings suggest the show was outpaced by a range of reruns, with Collins’ show even falling behind another CNN program. The number of viewers in the key 25-54 age demographic was a less than stellar 83,000. These are contrasted with the nearly 2 million viewers that tuned in to Fox News’ Sean Hannity’s show in the same time slot. Is this a sign of the times, or merely growing pains for a new show? CNN’s pursuit to appeal to a younger demographic may not be going as planned.
