Must See: Jonathan Turley’s Scorching Words on the FBI

The FBI has come under increasing scrutiny lately with the revelation that the bureau may be too fixated on protecting the Biden family. Legal expert Jonathan Turley has warned that evidence with the Biden name often “dies a very rapid death” at the FBI. These fears of politicization within the bureau have only been amplified by the recent controversies surrounding its use of the “Steele dossier” in the Trump-Russia investigation.

The latest scandal involving the FBI is the slow-walking of the criminal inquiry into Hunter Biden, the president’s son. Two IRS whistleblowers have come forward with allegations that the investigation has been handled in such a way as to shield the First Son from more serious charges than the tax and gun counts that are subject to a potential plea deal. This investigation is also linked to allegations from a confidential human source that Joe Biden was involved in a bribery scheme worth millions of dollars while he was vice president.

The FBI appears to be dragging its feet when it comes to investigating the Biden family. GOP lawmakers have raised serious questions about what has been done to corroborate or dismiss the informant’s claims, and it appears that the bureau is simply protecting the Bidens from legal consequences. William Barr, former Attorney General, has stated that he sent the information regarding the bribery scheme to be vetted by a prosecutor in Pennsylvania. After it was determined that there was “no basis to believe this was disinformation,” the claims were relayed to Delaware, where U.S. Attorney David Weiss has been leading the Hunter Biden inquiry.

There appears to be a concerted effort to protect Joe Biden and his family from the consequences of their actions. Financial records being scrutinized by GOP congressional investigators have revealed a pattern of millions of dollars flowing to the Bidens and their relatives from foreign nationals under suspicious circumstances. While Democrats in Congress have dismissed these inquiries as politically motivated, it is clear that there are serious questions that need to be answered.

The release of the FD-1023 form by Sen. Chuck Grassley has only served to highlight the FBI’s reluctance to investigate the Bidens. The bureau has released a statement lamenting how its efforts to “protect the physical safety of confidential human sources and the integrity of sensitive investigations” were squandered by the form’s release. However, it is clear that the FBI has been more concerned with protecting the Bidens than with carrying out a thorough investigation into their alleged wrongdoing.

It is time that the FBI puts aside its political biases and carries out a fair and thorough investigation into the Bidens. If there is evidence of criminal activity, then the Bidens must face the consequences of their actions. No one is above the law, and the FBI must uphold this principle if it is to maintain the trust of the American people.
