The Democrats are once again spewing their lies and propaganda about job creation and wages. Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was evasive when asked if President Joe Biden believes in systemic racism, instead choosing to go on a tirade about the economy. This administration has a habit of touting their so-called ‘economic achievements,’ even when the question has nothing to do with it.
Jean-Pierre veered the conversation towards the economy and how it was in shambles when President Biden took office. She conveniently forgot to mention that the Democrats kept schools closed, making the economic situation worse. Furthermore, even Democratic economists like Larry Summers warned that the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) would lead to massive inflation, which it has. Despite this, Jean-Pierre brazenly celebrates the inflation rates.
The Biden administration loves to claim that they have “created more than 13 million jobs,” a statement that has been repeatedly fact-checked and proven false. These jobs weren’t “created,” but rather people returned to work after the pandemic. To make matters worse, the government’s own statistics reveal that wages have not kept up with inflation. Inflation-adjusted average hourly earnings were higher when Biden’s predecessor, Donald Trump left office.
It wasn’t until later that Jean-Pierre was willing to address racial issues. Biden has signed executive orders, proclaiming his commitment to equity, which has become one of his favorite buzzwords. However, the press secretary could not answer clearly when asked if Biden believes that America is still a racist country.
This is not the first time that the Democrats have tried to present their deeply unpopular economic policies as a triumph when responding to unrelated questions. It’s time for them to stop spreading their lies and propaganda and start being honest with the American people.
