Illinois Governor Pleads with Biden for Action on Immigration Overload: A Test for Sanctuary States
Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker sent a scathing letter to President Joe Biden, calling for him to take more action in addressing the skyrocketing levels of illegal immigration taking place at the U.S.-Mexico border. The Biden administration has been caught in a web of falsehoods and misinformation as they frantically attempt to portray their policies as a success, but the harsh reality is that their actions have created a disastrous humanitarian crisis.
Pritzker admitted that his state was a sanctuary for illegal immigrants and that thousands of people have crossed the border into Illinois, putting a tremendous strain on the state’s resources. The situation has become so dire that even Chicago, one of the largest and wealthiest cities in the country, is struggling to keep up with the influx of people.
“The humanitarian crisis is overwhelming our ability to provide aid to the refugee population,” Pritzker wrote. “Unfortunately, the welcome and aid Illinois has been providing to these asylum seekers has not been matched with support by the federal government. Most critically, the federal government’s lack of intervention and coordination at the border has created an untenable situation for Illinois.”
In just 13 months, an astounding 15,000 people have made their way to Illinois, forcing the state government to dedicate over $330 million in funds to provide humanitarian assistance. That is a massive amount of money for a state that is still reeling from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. To make matters worse, the city of Chicago also had to contribute over $100 million in resources to support the incoming migrants.
Pritzker is not the only Democratic governor who has expressed concerns about the impact of illegal immigration. New York Governor Kathy Hochul, who could hardly be described as a conservative, recently stated that the southern border is too open and that there needs to be more restrictions in place to control who is allowed to enter the country. This is a shocking development considering the notoriously liberal stance of Democratic governors on immigration issues.
The Biden administration’s failed policies have resulted in an unprecedented surge of illegal immigration, which has put a tremendous strain on the country’s resources and infrastructure. The facts speak for themselves, and it is clear that the Biden administration’s border policy has been a complete disaster that has left countless families in dire straits. It is time for the federal government to finally step up and take responsibility for this crisis before it is too late.

What I find funny is the fact that these idiot democrats think they are immune from the thing affecting everyone else up to the point that it smacks them right in the face, declare your state or city a sanctuary for criminals and you get what you deserve, live with it and keep your mouth shut or reverse your decision and solve the problem.
