A business owner in Glassell Park, Los Angeles, Ryan Baggaley of DELTA Construction & Co., is voicing his exasperation and anger following repeated burglaries at his construction and electronics business.
Baggaley, feeling betrayed by the political leaders he once supported, is now reconsidering his political allegiances.
A recent break-in at Baggaley’s company was covered by FOX LA, where surveillance footage captured several thieves burglarizing the business.
Baggaley highlighted a troubling trend of break-ins along his business strip. The most recent incident occurred early Wednesday morning when a blue Kia Soul, allegedly stolen from an LAPD impound yard, rammed into his company’s gate. Surveillance revealed about fifteen intruders stealing valuables, including musical instruments and construction tools. “They stole six of our guitars, a bunch of studio mics, and thousands of dollars’ worth of tools,” Baggaley reported.
He was alerted by his alarm company during the burglary and arrived at the scene ahead of the police, only to find the perpetrators had already escaped.
Over the past two years, Baggaley and his clients have suffered around 15 burglaries, as reported by KTLA.
He criticized the political leadership for the insufficient police presence and delayed responses. “We employ 30 people, pay our taxes, and all we ask for is some patrolling in the area,” he stated.
The ongoing burglaries have heavily impacted his business. “As a small business, we can’t cope with $100,000 in damage,” he remarked.
Baggaley expressed profound disillusionment with elected officials, especially those he previously voted for, including Joe Biden, Gavin Newsom, and Karen Bass.
“I voted for Karen Bass. I voted for Biden. I voted for Gavin Newsom. Now I’m fed up. There comes a point where you need to give me a reason to support you again. We just want to do our jobs, support our employees, and live, but it’s becoming incredibly hard to survive,” Baggaley articulated.
