Danica McKellar Credits Fellow Star as Faith Transforms Life

Breaking News: “The Wonder Years” Star Danica McKellar’s Life Transformed by Faith, Credits Candace Cameron Bure for Bringing Her to Church

In an exclusive interview with Fox News, Danica McKellar, beloved for her role in the hit TV show “The Wonder Years,” opened up about the life-changing transformation she experienced after finding faith through her friend, “Full House” actress Candace Cameron Bure. This transformation began on Palm Sunday two years ago in a simple yet profound invitation that took place in southern California: Bure invited McKellar to attend her church’s Easter service. Little did either know that this meeting would change McKellar’s life in such a powerful way.

Marking the second anniversary of her newfound faith this Easter week, McKellar spoke about her experiences in depth, detailing how the incredible moment of attending the passion play with Bure at Shepherd Church was the catalyst for transforming her life. McKellar said, “It changed my life. I don’t know what happened. Some people say the Holy Spirit came to me. All I know is that I knew I became a believer, and it was the most wonderful, transformative moment.”

Following her initial encounter with faith, McKellar has embraced the journey, feeling an overwhelming sense of peace and conviction in her beliefs. Reflecting on the Easter season, she described it as a time of “redemption and rebirth,” adding, “And I feel that, my wish for the world is that they would feel that as well and be open to God’s love because it’s transformative, and it’s there for everyone.”

Hollywood seems to have taken note of the growing number of stars professing their faith and the transformative power it possesses. On Easter Sunday, actor Chris Pratt shared a similar message on his Instagram, writing, “HE [Jesus] IS RISEN! He transformed my life. He can transform yours as well. I promise you. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.”

In her conversation with Fox News, McKellar shared that it was not just Bure who played an instrumental role in her spiritual transformation, but also her father, who found faith later in life. Previously, she explained, “I’ve been around Christianity my whole life in some way, shape, or form, but it never really clicked. And my good friend Candace Cameron Bure… she brought me to church. And all I can say is that something happened.”

Addressing her past hesitations about Christianity, McKellar admitted that she used to be skeptical because of its complicated history and misconceptions about it being inherently judgmental. Looking back, she found solace in the fact that Jesus himself was “anti-religion,” which helped change her perspective. She continued, “Everything I always thought about there being some higher power and wanting to do the right thing, just because it’s the right thing, when no one’s watching, why that matters, and it all just came into focus.”

Now, two years on and as strong as ever in her faith, McKellar shares her thoughts with the world, hoping to inspire others to experience similar transformations. With grace and humility, the actress has used her platform to promote love, peace, and the transformative power of faith. In conclusion, McKellar leaves her audience with a profound sentiment and a needs-answering call to action: “I just want people to feel the love and peace that I feel now.”
