Unsung Hero: A Moving Musical Journey of Faith, Family & Triumph – in Theaters April 26th!

In a world filled with stress and uncertainty, the importance of family has never been more prominent. An inspiring, must-see movie is coming to theaters nationwide this Friday, April 26th. “Unsung Hero,” a new movie from the brilliant studio responsible for “Jesus Revolution,” tells the remarkable true story of the Smallbone family and their unwavering faith and love for music as they embark on a life-changing adventure. This heartwarming film will undoubtedly leave you inspired and in awe of the power of family.

David and Helen Smallbone, along with their six children, left their home and life in Australia after David’s successful music company collapsed. With only their suitcases, determination, and love of music, the family arrives in Nashville in hopes of a better future. Starring real-life family members Joel Smallbone (who plays his own father) and Candace Cameron Bure, this incredible tale showcases the resilience and strength of a family that holds onto their dreams, even in the face of adversity.

The movie, produced by brothers Luke and Joel Smallbone with Joshua Walsh and Justin Tolley, tells the story of a mother’s unwavering faith and how it not only inspires her husband but also her children to keep pushing forward. Daily Wire host Michael Knowles spoke with the talented brothers of for King + Country, who shared their story and the message they hope moviegoers take away from their film.

Joel Smallbone recounts the story of their father, who went from losing half a million dollars to being offered a job in Nashville – only to lose that job upon arriving. The family found themselves with no way to get back to Australia, no car, and no insurance for an upcoming high-risk pregnancy. He describes how their family persevered, stating, “It’s a ’90s film. It’s a film that celebrates moms and music and miracles and the local community coming together.”

Luke draws attention to a famous quote from Mother Teresa used in the film, emphasizing the power of family: “If you want to change the world, go home and love your family.” The Smallbone family does just that and more. Despite the many obstacles they faced, Joel says the film is a “testament to their love.”

This gripping, unforgettable story of a family whose love for each other and music leads them to triumph over numerous challenges will resonate with audiences everywhere. “Unsung Hero” not only highlights the power of family but also celebrates the unsung heroes of the world – mothers.

As the curtain falls on this deeply moving story, let it be a reminder of the strength and power of love, faith, and family. The Smallbone family’s journey serves as a reflection of all families, who, through their shared struggles, dreams, and triumphs, create an unbreakable bond that withstands the test of time. Don’t miss “Unsung Hero” – a film that will undoubtedly reaffirm the importance of family and leave you with a profound sense of hope.
