Did Trump Buy a SCOTUS Seat? Reid Drops a Shocking, Unproven Bombshell About a Suspected Bribe in Classified Docs Case!

Joy Reid from MSNBC is at it again. The broadcaster took a breather from incessantly covering Trump’s New York hush money case to dive into his classified documents issue. The deciding factor is Judge Aileen Cannon who delayed the trial indefinitely prompting Reid to make an audacious statement that Trump bought her off with a Supreme Court seat – a claim with no hard evidence backing it.

Reid pressed legal pundit Joyce Vance on what options Jack Smith, hypothetically protesting the decision, might have. Vance gave a wordy response alluding to raising an appeal if Judge Cannon made rulings on using classified information that Smith doesn’t approve of during the trial. This seems unlikely, given the case is still in the pre-trial stage which requires a special scenario for the government to appeal. Vance maintained Smith probably wishes he’d requested a recusal of Judge Cannon at the outset.

Showing her trademark bias, Reid instantly creates a conspiracy theory claiming Judge Cannon is vying for a Supreme Court nomination and believes Trump can help her secure that. Otherwise, Reid argues, the judge is intending to dispose of the case, thus helping Trump in the long run.

In this exchange, Washington Post’s Eugene Robinson, joins in on the humor. Despite Reid’s insistence on her theory, Robinson reluctantly concedes nothing is beyond possibility, considering Trump. Rather disparagingly, Reid compares Judge Cannon’s experience to that of Amy Coney Barrett, another Trump appointee – a comment without relevance or bearing on the situation.

What’s made apparent is the glaring double standard. When a judge rules against Trump in the Big Apple, it’s celebrated as proving that no one, not even a former president, is beyond the grasp of the law. But when things don’t go in favor of Jack Smith, suddenly it’s undesirable. It’s high time the mainstream media acts impartial, but Reid’s show certainly isn’t there yet.

In summary, Reid’s unsubstantiated allegations only serve to spread more division and confusion. This latest episode is a stark reminder of the ongoing need for clearer, unbiased reporting and level-headed discussion. Rather than passionately pushing her own narrative, we’d expect a journalist of Reid’s caliber to present facts objectively, irrespective of their political leanings. But alas, it appears we have to wait longer till we see that day.
