Colbert Stunned as Biden Agrees to Clash with Trump in Debate- You Won’t Believe This!

Grab your popcorn, folks, because Biden and Trump are preparing to step into the debating ring again. Late-night host Stephen Colbert had mixed reactions to this momentous announcement, expressing admiration for Biden’s gutsy decision but also musing that Biden’s acceptance somehow dignifies Trump.

Trump’s persistently called out Biden, stirring the pot for a long-awaited debate rematch. Now Biden’s taken the bait and thrown it back at Trump with a video message where he fired back at Trump for the laziness in his court schedule, and chided him about the two debates he lost in 2020.

Biden stated, “Donald, you’ve been a no-show since our last clash. Now you’re ready for round two? Happy to oblige. Let’s lock in the dates, I hear Wednesdays are rather free for you these days.”

Appreciating Biden’s retaliation, charismatic Colbert couldn’t hold back his excitement, whooping “For my reaction, follow me to the ‘Damn! Cam’.”

George Stephanopoulos entered the conversation, sharing his predictions for the upcoming debate. Hyped to talk about his new book on the show, Stephanopoulos was interrupted by Colbert’s debate-focused curiosity. Stephanopoulos shared his surprise about the rematch, though he won’t be moderating due to ongoing legal tussles with Trump.

Quipped Colbert, “I was taken aback that Biden would consider Trump worthy of his attention”. Stephanopoulos echoed his sentiments, stating he was indeed surprised, reminding the audience of the Chris Wallace debate that went down in history as the most calamitous in American presidential debate history.

Biden’s response? Ground rules. No audience, in-studio event, and strict time limits. Rules, Colbert commends, threatening that upon expiry of allotted time, the ‘mic goes off’. Colbert’s a fan, but Stephanopoulos questions their viability. Will the debate ultimately materialize given these rigid conditions?

It’s worth remembering that every past presidential debate had an audience, despite their mandatory silence. And the rule that caught most attention, muting the mics? It might help quiet Trump’s incessant interruptions, but it may also hinder the mumbling and rambling Biden. Everyone’s on tenterhooks as we count down to the much-anticipated debates in June and September of this year.

The countdown is on, folks. The staging is set for a Biden-Trump face-off. One thing’s for sure, it’s going to be a spectacle. Whether it’s a more balanced, civil discussion or yet another circus show of interruptions and attacks, only time will tell. So buckle up, this is going to be a wild ride.
