New York Times Reveals MSNBC’s Progressive Shift – Yet Alleges NBC News to be Neutral! You Won’t Believe it!

In a roughly 3000-word article, the New York Times laid bare something many conservatives have been aware of for a while: mainstream media’s left-leaning inclination. However, while this media bias is somewhat laudable, it begged the question – what does it say about the newspaper’s own inclination with its reporters consistently making appearances on MSNBC’s left-leaning platform?

MSNBC is known to cater to liberal audiences, and they didn’t shy away from doubling down on this. They’ve replaced neutrally toned news slots with shows focusing heavily on bashing Trump. The channel scored Jen Psaki, a former Biden official, as a program host to cement their status as a landing zone for high-profile liberal personalities.

Interestingly, this strategy seems to be working wonders. MSNBC has trounced CNN in the ratings game and witnessed a viewership boost in the past year, clinching the number two spot in cable news right behind Fox News.

However, not everyone shares in this grand victory. NBC, the parent company of MSNBC and a conventional member of the Big Three, is grappling with unintended consequences. Its reporters, who still aim for broad American appeal, worry that MSNBC’s blatant partisanship could tamper with perceptions of their typically neutral news reporting.

The media conglomerate is up against internal “tensions” on how to maintain integrity, project neutral reporting, and win public trust in an era where a media house’s financial and cultural success seems to hinge on hailing a political group.

NBC made attempts at reducing the overblown partisan tone in its backyard by introducing subtle changes like moving Al Sharpton to weekends, onboarding Greta Van Susteren from Fox, and daily airing of Meet the Press. But these efforts went down the drain when Trump showed up and inadvertently boosted MSNBC’s ratings by ruffling liberal feathers.

The focus of the NY Times story goes to NBC News head honcho, Cesar Conde. Conde has been striving to feature right-leaning voices, notably Ronna McDaniel and Kristen Welker, whose incredibly combative interview with Donald Trump caused leftist uproar. The result? NBC’s interviews with Republicans end up sounding strongly adversarial.

Rutenberg and Grynbaum conceded MSNBC’s increasingly partisan direction with ex-Biden press secretary Jen Psaki and Symone Sanders’ recent hires. It’s interesting to observe this liberal revolving-door policy previously scorned and criticized when Fox News executed it.

What’s curiously absent from the story were any references to numerous Times reporters that made appearances on MSNBC during Trump’s tenure and beyond. They claim this contributed to the network’s “leftward tilt.” Still, they also conveniently forgot to mention they, Rutenberg and Grynbaum, were among those contributors.

An impressive roster of Times journalists has graced the MSNBC screen over the years but hardly appeared on Fox News. This is a glaring example of media bias cost dressed as neutral reporting.

In conclusion, the “leftward tilt” of mainstream media is becoming increasingly apparent, and it must be recognized through an honest, objective lens. Bias in media does more harm than good in a democratic society, no matter which direction it leans. Conservative outlets have their work cut out for them, ensuring balanced, unvarnished truth is heard loud and clear.
