It’s become readily apparent that the Democrat-aligned media are devoted cheerleaders for Trump’s prosecutors. Contrary to their portrayed image as impartial soldiers of justice, it’s impossible to ignore the evident political motivations at play.
Last week, a mere five hours after guilty verdicts were announced in the Trump case, news outlet Politico let slip a buried truth. In the article penned by Adam Wren and Lisa Kashinsky, we find the dazzling tribute to Alvin Bragg. Bragg, they admit, embarked on a “Get Trump” campaign that won him favor with the Democrats. Unsurprisingly, the timing of this political case suspiciously aligns with election interference.
Before his courtroom debut last week, Alvin Bragg had avoided discussing the case. His cryptic comment to Politico unveiled his approach: keep everything under wraps outside of the courtroom. Despite his silence in public, his campaign promises to hunt down Trump won him the primary three years ago and brought forth criticism from his fellow Democrats.
Last Thursday, Bragg became the first-ever prosecutor to challenge a former president—a victory that surely secures him a place in the Democratic pantheon. Bragg, an African-American prosecutor, has been subjected to intense slander by Trump—unfounded accusations which further solidify Bragg’s newly-acclaimed status.
The grand irony? Politico’s own “golden boy,” Alvin Bragg, ran on the promise to take on Trump—a fact that his sponsers had conveniently overlooked until now. Bragg won his case on all 34 counts, presumably paving the way to a prosperous political future—a future which could hold anything from a mayoral to a gubernatorial position.
In the glory of Bragg’s triumph, Politico failed to recognize a vital player, Matthew Colangelo, the former #3 person at the Biden Department of Justice, who delivered the opening statement for the prosecution during the trial.
Despite the media’s fervent idolisation of Bragg, don’t be shocked if the fact that Bragg ran his campaign with the sole aim of pursuing Trump lands in Trump’s appeal evidence. Expect to see Politico’s confession cited to demonstrate Bragg’s overt political bias in taking up the Trump case. With this admission, the curtain has been pulled back to reveal the overtly political nature of Bragg’s actions, and the dream of a fair, non-partisan justice system seems more like a fantasy than a reality.
