The conservative icon blew the whistle on his dread surrounding Google’s information manipulation and clamping down on free speech. He even warned us of looming AI hazards that are likely to shape our society. Direct in his conviction, when asked about whether his tour was a tactic to evade pressure from government officials wanting to control speech, Carlson, out-spoken and daring as ever, responded, “Of course! The one thing Google can’t control is a live event”.
The TCN chief wasn’t done with Google yet, he brought them up again while debating the credibility of poll numbers. Not mincing his words, he said that he couldn’t believe the above 40% poll figures reported for President Biden, given the damage inflicted during his tenure.
According to Carlson, “The tech companies are doing everything they can to suppress unauthorized information.” His doubts aren’t completely unfounded, as numerous studies by MRC Free Speech America show Google’s search engine being biased by masking and censoring Joe Biden’s adversaries during the election race.
What this heralds for the 2024 election, only time will tell as per Tucker. He candidly admitted, “I am very concerned that people will not have access to a diversity of information.” He further warned about AI’s potentially grave societal implications.
This isn’t a far-fetched notion. Even MRC Free Speech America has documented instances of Google’s AI meddling in elections. A Special Report by MRC reveals that Google has interfered in U.S. elections 41 times since 2008.
