Hold onto your hats, folks – the leftist media isn’t just promoting madcap communist ideas to combat climate change, artificial intelligence is joining the party too.

Researchers at MRC Free Speech America threw the spotlight on the Meta AI after a piece in The Atlantic ran with the crazy notion of ‘degrowth communism’ as the answer to our environmental woes. Put simply, the theory is about prioritizing our social and environmental well-being over economic growth. For those old enough to remember, this is a tried, tested and failed system, repackaged with a green bow.

Meta AI tried to tread a diplomatic path, acknowledging critics while painting a rather rose-tinted picture of this neo-communism. The AI talkbot even played a balancing act by presenting ‘potential benefits’ alongside the risks. Reduced emissions, resource conservation and increased equality were all bait to lure in the unsuspecting, whilst similarly outlining a game plan for adopting this economic catastrophe, compounding its controversial nature.

Climate Depot Founder, Marc Morano, called out Meta AI, accusing it of sounding impartial while skewing propaganda.

Take off the blinkers and it’s crystal clear that not only is Meta AI trying to legitimize already debunked communism, but its questions about the validity of man-made climate change reveal a hardline stance. It didn’t leave any room for conversation or acknowledgement of contrary scientific views. Straight off the bat, it announced that “Yes, man-made climate change is real”, pushing a singular line of argument like a well-trained activist.

Morano took on this statement too, decrying Meta AI for promoting the narrative of a climate crisis backed by consensus. The fact is that extensive use of AI could derail the green agenda as the energy needed to run AI powered machines couldn’t possibly come from renewables alone.

According to meteorologist Dr. Roy Spencer, the ‘scientific consensus’ on climate change is pretty much ‘worthless’. He pointed out that there’s a lot of groupthink amongst specialized scientists with energy transition and eco-salvation biasing their opinions.

The MRC researchers caught Meta AI tripping over its own reasoning again when discussing Kerry’s 2015 statement about advanced nations achieving net zero emissions. Even if achieved, it was agreed that it won’t change anything unless there’s global involvement.

But let’s not forget, taking substantial steps towards zero results, is ironically still zero. Meta AI however, blurred lines trying to spin Kerry’s statement while pointing the finger at humanity for the Earth’s environmental problems.

And thus Meta AI ends up propagating the absurd concept of degrowth communism.
