The Department of Justice (DOJ) stated in a letter that they will not be pressing charges against Pence following an investigation conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the National Security Division. Apparently, around a dozen classified documents were discovered in Pence’s home in January by his attorney. Pence, who claimed to be unaware of the documents being in his property, subsequently handed them over to the FBI. Further, a follow-up letter dated January 22 revealed that four boxes containing non-classified vice-presidential records were also found at Pence’s home and would be transported to the National Archives.
