Federal Judge Blocks Biden From Ending Title 42, Biden to Appeal

On May 23, Title 42 was set to expire. Since 2020, Title 42 has been the only thing kind of keeping America’s southern borders from being flooded with immigrants. The Biden administration was willing to let it expire, until a Federal Judge just stopped him.

On Friday, Judge Robert Summerhays, in the Western District of Louisiana, granted temporary preliminary injunction as part of a lawsuit by two dozen Republican states. Arizona’s Attorney General Mark Brnovich, one of the leaders in this fight, said: “Today’s ruling is a significant win as Title 42 is one of the few policies that is actually working. I’m grateful to the Court for upholding the rule of law and helping maintain some level of sanity as we continue to battle the Biden-made border crisis.”

Judge Summerhays said ending Title 42 would cause “immediate and irreparable harm” and that “it could cause a three fold increase in border crossings.”

NBC News reports that last year there was “a record 1.7 million illegal border crossings.” Last month, “the highest monthly total ever recorded,” 234,000 migrants, crossed into the United States. This has caused members of both parties to come after the Biden administration to do more, since even with Title 42 in place, most of those migrants were released into the U.S.

And yet, despite all of this, Biden proves once again that he does not consider logic or what the people of the United States want, since he has already decided to appeal the Federal Court ruling:

While the Federal Court has temporarily saved the day, another solution is in the works. Fox News reports that “a number of moderate Democrats joined Republicans in signing onto legislation preventing the administration from lifting the order until 60 days after the CDC says the national emergency on COVID-19 is over. That legislation has not yet been voted on in the Senate.”

See what Rand Paul wants to use to catch the Supreme Court leaker

That sounds like a very good solution, especially since the CDC may never say the national emergency on COVID-19 is over. Not with the Democrats in charge anyway. Just look what happened when Fauci said we were no longer in the pandemic phase! He was forced to walk that back fast, and has now seemingly gone into hiding again. Do you think the legislative solution will pass the Senate? What do you think of Biden’s decision to appeal? Please sound off in the comments.
