Biden Said Feds Will “Raze” Robb Elementary After Shooting

In an interview with KSAT 12 news on Sunday, Democrat State Senator Roland Gutierrez told the press what Biden said to him. He said that the feds are planning to “raze” Robb Elementary School following the shooting that left 19 children and 2 teachers slain.

Gutierrez says Biden told him that “we’re going to look to raze that school and build a new one.” Gutizerrez welcomed President Joe and first lady Jill Biden when they came off of Air Force one on Sunday.

Watch Gutierrez tell about his meeting with Biden below between 03:30 and 4:10.

Gutierrez further detailed what Biden told him saying, “I’m not going away … I’m going to bring your resources. … We’re looking to get real money for health care.”

Gutierrez responded, “I can’t tell you how many little children that I’ve talked to that don’t want to go into that building. They’re just traumatized. They’re just destroyed.”

He also called for “common sense gun solutions” in his address to the press and discussed the need for more mental health resources for the community.

In response to the tragedy, Gutierrez is moving his office to Eagle Pass so that he can be closer to those effected. He has frequently pushed for stricter gun laws in Texas and recently did so in response to the shooting in Uvalde.

On Friday, the state senator shouted at Gov. Greg Abbott and asked him to call for a special session to put in place gun control measures. He and other Democrats also signed a letter calling for that same special session.

“My colleagues are asking for a special session. You’re getting a letter tomorrow. We’ve asked for gun control changes. I’m asking you now to bring us back in three weeks,” Gutierrez told Abbott during the questions portion of the event.

Do you think the feds should “raze” the school after the shooting? Tell us your thoughts.
