Recently, some parents were seen taking their young children to a drag show in Dallas. Front and center on the stage at the show were the words “IT’S NOT GOING TO LICK ITSELF” in large, neon lights. Pizza Hut’s summer reading program for children included book written by a boy that, at age 11, was accepting money from grown men at drag shows. One Texas lawmaker wants to protect kids from this oversexualization. And one California lawmaker mocked him.
“Drag shows are no place for a child,” Texas state Rep. Bryan Slaton tweeted. “I would never take my children to a drag show and I know Speaker Dade Phelan and my Republican colleagues wouldn’t either. I will be filing legislation to address this issue in the new #txlege.”
Slaton called what happened over the weekend in Dallas “horrifying” and said it shows a “disturbing trend in which perverted adults are obsessed with sexualizing young children.” A gay lawmaker in California responded with this:
Senator Wiener would “require” your kindergartener to do things like “Drag Queen Story Time,” where he or she would maybe sit and listen to one of Pizza Hut’s summer reading program books, like Be Amazing, which was written by Desmond Napoles who, at age 11, was filmed at a New York gay bar dressed in drag while dancing in front of adults.
Here’s proof that even Californians are sick of progressives in office
Children have no business at adult entertainment, no matter what it is. Drag shows are almost always held in bars where customers have to be 21 or older anyway. The whole concept of having young children attend such events is simply perverted. What would you do if your state started requiring Drag Queen curriculum?
