Liz Cheney Omits Line From Trump Tweet During J6 Hearings

During the televised January 6th hearings, Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) read out a tweet from then President Trump from the afternoon of the events but omitted two sentences.

She read from Trump’s tweet: These are the things and events that happen when a sacred landslide victory is so unceremoniously & viciously stripped away from great patriots who have been badly & unfairly treated for so long.”

However, there were two additional sentences that were mysteriously not included.

Trump’s full tweet from the afternoon of January 6.

She skipped over the lines: “Go home with love & peace. Remember this day forever.” It’s an interesting omission and shows the committees attitude in attempting to take down Trump and his associates.

Cheney is one of the lone two Republicans that burned their bridges with the mainstream GOP to join the January 6 committee. The other being Rep. Adam Kinzinger.

The move has come back to bite her in her home district, though. She currently trails her opponent in the Republican primary, Harriet Hagemen, by 29-56 percent, according to a Club For Growth chartered poll.

“I think the race is kind of getting baked in here against Cheney,” said Republican consultant Bill Cubin. “It wouldn’t be so much that she’s participating in the Jan. 6 Committee — and yes a lot of Republicans are uncomfortable with that — but there’s this feeling she’s not really representing Wyoming anymore.”

Club for growth attacked Cheney in an ad tying her to Nancy Pelosi last year. Watch next.

Her only problem is not just her seat on the January 6 committee; many Wyoming republicans think that she is not back in her state enough to deal with their issues.

In response, Cheney put out her first major ad buy showing testimonials from constituents and trying to distance herself from all the noise in Washington.

It’s apparent that Republican voters care very little about the January 6, 2021 Capitol breach and it shows in Cheney’s polling.

“Not only is Cheney getting creamed in the ballot, but Wyoming [Republican primary voters] are clear that there is no room for her to get back into this race,” said Tony Fabrizio, a GOP pollster. “A huge 71% majority say they will vote against her, including 66% who will definitely vote against Cheney no matter who she runs against. With only 26% saying they will definitely or probably vote for Cheney, she has hit her ceiling on the ballot.”

In other words, Cheney has no chance at winning her race. It seems like her last act in Congress will adjudicating the January 6 committee.

Many Republicans are upset at Liz Cheney for going against the former President but also for leading a show hearing that does not do anything to fix the problems that Americans are seeing right now. Would you vote for Liz Cheney if she was in your district? Let us know your thoughts.
