Kim Foxx Slapped Husband Over Facebook Post: Report

On Saturday, June 4, law enforcement officers were called to the home of Cook County State Attorney Kim Foxx for a domestic incident. The Police report was obtained by WGN by using the Freedom of Information Act and shows that Kim’s husband, Kelley Foxx, made the call from their home in Flossmoor, Illinois.

“[Foxx’s husband] explained that Kimberly got mad about something that was posted on Facebook that he did,” said one of the responding officers. “Kimberly asked him to leave and he refused.”

Foxx denied slapping her husband and has claimed that she only “put hands on [her husband] but it was only to help guide him out of the house. She never slapped him.”

“Kimberly expressed that she felt [her husband] called the police only to hurt her,” wrote an officer.

The attending officer said that Kelley explained to him that Kim slapped him. He then showed the police where she struck him. The officer used his flashlight but did “not observe any indicators to support his claim of being struck.”

According to the report, Kelley further told the police that Kim was “being physically aggressive” and he was trying to make it stop. Neither of the couple left the home after the disturbance.

Both Foxx and her husband released a statement to WGN News, “This is a personal family matter, and we ask that you provide our family with respect and privacy.”

Foxx has been blamed for the rise in crime in Chicago because of her soft on crime policies. In the last two years, there have been more than 1,500 murders in Chicago. Recently, stores in the city have reported employing gun sniffing k-9s this month to prevent crime in their stores.

She is also the prosecutor that mishandled the case of the disgraced actor Jussie Smollet. He was convicted in 2021 of faking a hate crime. An investigation into her office uncovered misconduct surrounding the Smollet case.

Foxx is one of the soft-on-crime prosecutors that have led to the massive rise in crime in American cities in the last several years. Her policies don’t punish criminals and instead allow them back on the streets to commit many of the same crimes. Do you think it’s ironic her family called the police to stop the domestic disturbance – the same police she tried to defund?
