Free speech activists are gathering in Las Vegas this week to discuss ways to stop digital censorship and to end the scourge of cancel culture.
The conference, named #CounterCancelled, is being keynoted by Dr. Peter McCullough and social media pioneer Jason Fyk.
According to Big League Politics, Fyk, one of the founders of the conference, sued Facebook after they shut down his page.
Back in 2018 when it happened, he tweeted: “As I announced this morning on Fox and Friends, I am bringing a lawsuit against Facebook in the hope of putting an end to the Double Standards and clear abuse of their responsibilities. Silencing people for any reason is simply wrong!”
Fyk’s attorney at the time, read a statement on Fox and Friends, “Facebook is unlawfully silencing people for their own financial gain… Facebook is not above the law and must be held accountable for its wrongs. This is a true case of David versus Goliath.”
Fyk later appeared on OAN and discussed Facebook’s practice of “adshielding.”
The other headliner is Dr. Peter McCullough who has been a staunch mandate skeptic. In 2021, Baylor Scott & White, the largest nonprofit health system in Texas, was forced to get a restraining order on him after he continued to make claims that he was associated with them while discussing things they did not want him to.

It’s becoming increasingly obvious that digital censorship will become one of biggest problems of the 21rst century. Where does the line lie between our right to free speech and a company’s right to police its own platform? Do you think that cancel culture and censorship are something that are hurting our society?
