Biden Economic Advisor On High Gas Prices: “This is the Future of the Liberal World Order”

On Thursday, President Joe Biden’s Director of the National Economic Council Brian Deese was asked about high gas prices and he gave an interesting response. He claimed that Americans should care that Biden is protecting the “future of the liberal world order” – instead of worrying about prices at the pump.

“What do you say to those families that say, ‘listen, we can’t afford to pay $4.85 a gallon for months, if not years?’” CNN host Victor Blackwell asked Brian Deese.

“This is about the future of the Liberal World Order and we have to stand firm,” Deese said.

Many people probably took Deese literally, but he is likely talking about Biden’s push toward green energy at the expense of the American people’s pocketbooks. Biden has been touring Europe all week to boost NATO capabilities. Biden has been using similar terms when describing his efforts to strengthen NATO and opposing the Russian takeover of Ukraine.

Next, the CNN reporter asked Deese about Biden’s negative polling. It shows that only a quarter of Americans approve of Biden’s performance on the economy.

“When prices are high, people are frustrated. when they are pulling up at the gas pump. That is understandable. At the same time, it is our job and the President’s firm conviction what he can do as President is take every responsible action that he has,” Deese responded.

On Thursday, Joe Biden echoed what Deese said when asked about how long Americans will be paying higher gas prices.

“How long is it fair to expect American drivers and drivers around the world to pay a premium for this war?” a New York Times reporter asked Biden.

“As long as it takes,” Biden responded. “So that Russia cannot in fact defeat Ukraine and move beyond Ukraine.”

The CNN journalist is referring to the Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research poll that found that 85 percent of adults think America is on the wrong track and 79 percent rated the economy poor.

The Biden administration is failing on all fronts. They are trying to boost their base before the upcoming election but it’s likely not going to work at a time when people cannot afford the gas to get to work. Do you think that Democrats are ruining this country?
